Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Matt. 5:9
To make peace and bring about reconciliation, sin had to be confronted at the cost of the blood of Christ. If we seek to be peacemakers and to bring reconciliation among our brothers and sisters, we cannot whitewash either our own sin, nor the sin of others. It must be exposed and brought to the cross. True peacemaking is not “being nice;” it can be a costly calling.
